Easy check-in and good parking onsite. First floor room was big and clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. Lots of pillows and bedding provided. Air conditioner worked well. Sound-proofing was quite good considering the age of the motel. Tea and coffee supplies were always kept in order and room cleaning was well organised and thorough.

The room seemed like it was recently updated - very clean and well appointed. Two queen beds was great rather than a queen and a single. Gardens were lovely. Location close to the Freeway and Doncaster Westfield was perfect for us. Nice to have a walking path nearby. Late check-in was accomodated.

Elizabethan Lodge was a wonderful surprise find on Bookings.com for my accommodation on this visit to Melbourne. Fantastic location - easy to get to. Train from Southern Cross station to Box Hill, then a bus that stops just across the road from Elizabethan Lodge on Middleborough Road. Even better, an express bus hops on the Eastern Freeway to Melbourne. Stay on bus until the last stop. A short walk straight up to DFO (good for a few hours Christmas shopping) before I boarded my V-Line train from Southern Cross Station to Wangaratta. The garden at Elizabethan Lodge is just gorgeous. So peaceful & serene to sit under the trees & listen to the trickle of the waterfall, upon returning from a busy day out. Highly recommend this lovely, clean accommodation!

Very good value for the length of stay and spacious room for three people. Location was right off the highway and up the street from the nearest train station, though still 46m walk away. We never spoke face to face with staff but the lodge accommodated by allowing late check in and early check out. Free wifi and free to air TV, plenty of very comfortable pillows. After a short 7m drive to the train station and a 30-40m train ride you're in the CBD. So much parking keeping the cars off the street and safe from vandals.

The convenience to everything (good food, CBD, entertainment precincts and shops etc). The room was excellent for us as a family of 4. It was quaint and quiet even though it was central. Exceptionally clean and staff was friendly and very polite. The gardens were just beautiful during the day and at night. The chapel was a treat.

The workers are amazing and friendly. The room cleaning services are also excellent they will change the towels daily if you want to. There is one bus to the city 2 minutes walk away from the lodge. The room is clean, pretty spacious, and the air conditioner works well. There is a mini fridge, microwave, iron and the board, hairdryer and plenty of parking spaces. Definitely worth the money!

Ease of parking. Arrived late, but access was easy to get in as we had pre-arranged this. Location ok if you're driving. Room and bed are basic but adequate for our purpose. Cleaning and room make up was very good with consumables always replaced. Great value for the level of accommodation.
