Fantastic location - next to EastLink entry ramp to Melbourne, or in reverse to Ringwood, Lilydale, Yarra Ranges winery area. In my case, travelling to a Reception/Funeral venue in Warrandyte was a 16minute easy commute. The venue has nearby take away or eat in options, but not walking distance. There are public transport bus shelters out front of Elizabethan Lodge on both sides of Middleborough Road. A bus hops on the EastLink ramp into Melbourne's Flinders Street, and Central. Last stop is a short walk to Southern Cross Train Station for V-Line country and Interstate train travellers.

Easy check-in and good parking onsite. First floor room was big and clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. Lots of pillows and bedding provided. Air conditioner worked well. Sound-proofing was quite good considering the age of the motel. Tea and coffee supplies were always kept in order and room cleaning was well organised and thorough.

The room seemed like it was recently updated - very clean and well appointed. Two queen beds was great rather than a queen and a single. Gardens were lovely. Location close to the Freeway and Doncaster Westfield was perfect for us. Nice to have a walking path nearby. Late check-in was accomodated.

Location is perfect as has easy access to shopping centres less traffic so is quieter. Pricing is incredible value compared to surrounding properties and Melbourne accommodation was very clean. Although the room we ended up and was quite outdated and had a musty smell but the room bedding and bathroom were clean to an exceptional standard check was simple and staff were courteous. Good amount of beds for families compared to other properties in the area.

Elizabethan Lodge was a wonderful surprise find on Bookings.com for my accommodation on this visit to Melbourne. Fantastic location - easy to get to. Train from Southern Cross station to Box Hill, then a bus that stops just across the road from Elizabethan Lodge on Middleborough Road. Even better, an express bus hops on the Eastern Freeway to Melbourne. Stay on bus until the last stop. A short walk straight up to DFO (good for a few hours Christmas shopping) before I boarded my V-Line train from Southern Cross Station to Wangaratta. The garden at Elizabethan Lodge is just gorgeous. So peaceful & serene to sit under the trees & listen to the trickle of the waterfall, upon returning from a busy day out. Highly recommend this lovely, clean accommodation!

I enjoyed everything, and was particularly impressed and delighted with the room cleaning team, all of whom were warm and charming (they even chuckled at my jokes, something my family does not)

The convenience to everything (good food, CBD, entertainment precincts and shops etc). The room was excellent for us as a family of 4. It was quaint and quiet even though it was central. Exceptionally clean and staff was friendly and very polite. The gardens were just beautiful during the day and at night. The chapel was a treat.
